As you say, it's a business, and a very difficult one to profit from.Hellraiserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04057957210108815716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020825495589363527.post-73108587681695211642009-11-20T03:29:30.276+10:002009-11-20T03:29:30.276+10:00Moving tables at their own discretion always baffl...Moving tables at their own discretion always baffles me. I don't think I'll ever get over the sense of entitlement people seem to feel in a restaurant. Perhaps they forget we're running a business here?A Nova Serverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07159801064728569947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020825495589363527.post-61358079722577339482009-11-13T18:04:05.162+10:002009-11-13T18:04:05.162+10:00Maybe i am wrong, But i feel in this economy i wil...Maybe i am wrong, But i feel in this economy i will take the $80.00
Now if you had a table of big rollers waiting to spend a grip, That would be another story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020825495589363527.post-59067674439804136672009-10-29T10:27:26.642+10:002009-10-29T10:27:26.642+10:00Here's another comment from the Facebook Fan P...Here's another comment from the Facebook Fan Page, thanks Kitty!

Not for nothing but... who allowed them to move to another table? Hostess? DR manager? Server? I personally have no problem telling guests "no, you can't have that table, but you can have this one... I'm sorry but that's what I have right now." It's been my experience this "ownership" thing that these patrons exibit (& god knows they abuse it to no end) usually comes from a lack of FoH management. The establishment (cafe, fine dining, catering, counter service, whatever) reserves the sole and exclusive right to refuse service to anyone. Consistent, qualified, and fair management is a necessity, not a perk, especially FoH... the front line of assault from the self-righteous, self-absorbed group that think their money is greener... you don't need business like that. Besides, now they think it's ok to do that & come back, & tell friends. Egads!!!Hellraiserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04057957210108815716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1020825495589363527.post-69965175511779293672009-10-29T09:37:23.422+10:002009-10-29T09:37:23.422+10:00It is too much at times. Wh...@Ranting Chef, great post and very frustrating. Why is it that people think that they can assume some sort of 'part ownership' and that they can sit where they want, boss the staff around and waste valuable time? Even if, as you say, they end up spending only $20 bucks a head?Hellraiserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04057957210108815716noreply@blogger.com
